vv you are wonderful to do this for us. Love the little bits of extra info you give to explain special idioms. Slowly, I am learning a tiny bit of Spanish while enjoying Velvet.

Thank you forever and always for the English translations! What is wrong with Cristina, Carlos and Marcos? I don't get why Marco is on this continuous road of sabotaging Ana, especially when as Enrique as noted her success makes them money. Is it machismo pride he has against her? If she is in Italy winning the highest fashion honor his tactic is now just petty. Cristina still has that crazy look in her eyes. I can't tell if she really wants to make Ana's wedding a success or ultimately ruin it for her. If she ruins it then she won't marry Carlos. Her plan against Ana doesn't make sense either..How does this help her get back to Alberto? HE DOESN'T LOVE HER! And he will never leave Ana and Alberto Jr. As for Carlos in Part 1 of Ep 8..He looked uninterested in the wedding plans, I don't even think he loves Ana..he just wants to possess her. Seeing Mateo and Clara brought back memories of their early dating stages ..They belong together! Now if we can just get Alberto back with Ana

Thank you for the translations!
I honestly can not express how disappointed I am in this season. For all the very good points made above and more, this season just does not make sense and is so flat. The only reason why I'm hanging around is for the return of Alberto!
Also, may someone please link me the direct site to where all the episodes can be accessed?

Christina to Carlos: No, this is a very important wedding"
Carlos looks scared. I thought he was disinterested at first because I didn't watch with the subtitles but upon reflection, he is scared because he doesn't trust Christina. He can't quite figure out if her motives is just to get Ana away from Alberto or whether she has something else planned. I wouldn't trust her either! She is one very sick lady!!
Although I haven't seen Part 2, here's what I'm wondering there seems to be a disconnect between Raul and everything that's going on in Velvet. He doesn't seem as in the know about what's happening in Velvet. He doesn't seem to know that Ana's Pret-a Porter line is being paraded without Ana. He of all people would understand what that means. I know he's gone to Paris probably at the time of the showing, but not a mention of it before he goes. I don't know why that is important to me, but with Raul suspecting what's going on a great scene would be where he confronts Christina about her involvement. Condemming her that she hasn't changed at all. It just seems Christina does these things completely without anyone suspecting anything. I guess that's the plan. I mean Marco sees her planning a wedding and it's not her own. Will he become suspicious when he hears Ana is marrying Carlos? Will he put the 2 together? Probably not.

I mean Marco sees her planning a wedding and it's not her own. Will he become suspicious when he hears Ana is marrying Carlos? Will he put the 2 together? Probably not. After watching the scene with the subs I thought that Carlos was having second thoughts about getting married or even guilty about betraying Ana in this way. That's what it looked like to me because she was asking him is opinions on what she should order. He was probably also shocked at the level of attention she is giving to planning this wedding and the extravagance of it (I do hope they address her reasoning by I won't hold my breath). The next ep seems like he makes it clear that he is turned off to Cristina's level of involvement. It is kind of creepy that your fiancée's arch enemy in planning her wedding behind her back down to even the detail of what kind of hair and make-up she should wear. This is why I believe Carlos resents and borderline hates Ana rather than actually loving her. She's using him too and marrying him for the wrong reasons instead of cutting him loose to find someone who actually wants to be with him. I guess in a round about way, her punishment for it is no Alberto for 5 years. Anyway, it's absurd that Cristina even picked the dress. The groom should not be picking out the bride's dress, Ana's in fashion and should be doing something for her own wedding! Also where is Carlos's family, friends? There's no intimate connection between his and Ana's worlds and everyone around Ana just seems to be oblivious to all of this nonsense. It just adds to the list of bizarro things going on this season. Raul has sort of been in his own world this season, and he's always been more of a neutral character who saunters in and out of everyone's storyline. I think that he made his peace with Cristina when she came back and has a decent working relationship with her, but nothing like their old friendship. This could be seen as a writer's oversight, but I'm ok with it. She used him many times and keeping his distance makes sense to me, whether the writer's are intentionally doing that or not. I thought it was stranger when we saw no reaction from him after Cristina pushed Ana down the stairs and came at her with scissors. That was after a season of him defending Cristina and then finally seeing who she really was.

I thought it was stranger when we saw no reaction from him after Cristina pushed Ana down the stairs and came at her with scissors. That was after a season of him defending Cristina and then finally seeing who she really was. I feel that the writers open up lot of storylines but some of them are not connected when it should be. We don't see Raul get involve with Marco's plan to show Ana's ready wear and take credit for all of them. Connections and logics are not the writers strong point. They do whatever and whenever is convenient for them. I still believe they give Cristina to big a storyline, she wants revenge against Alberto, Ana, she is helping Carlos, she is running the Velvet while everyone was onto their own stuff (e.g.; have Humberto advertising menswear, help Marco setup the fashion show for ready wear). She must be a Wonder Woman long before there was one. BK wrote a long and extensive analysis of all the holes, Lara ,lady from Canada and others have really good responses to the past, present and future stories. We fell in love with Alberto and Ana so we stick to this show but more and more the storyline wonders all over the places, some places like Cristina and Petra that I think it were completely useless and BS, some places like Raul/Humberto, Pedro/Rita , Mateo/Clara were really good but not fully developed so far. 3 more episodes left but the production team is talking about a final final movie or show, r you kidding me ! Do they mean we are going to hate the ending? Is the ending so unsatisfactory they have to make a final final one?
