What i'm basically saying is... be patient, let the story unfold first. I think it's really interesting what they are doing. I like that it will all come together in the end...I hope😄

Waiting for all these burning questions to finally be answered is driving me loco! 😜😄😜

thanks debmac. I found part 1. I assume part 2 isn't ready yet? I have been binge watching on netfilx and just now found this site. Trying to not to read that much of the discussions as to not completely spoil it for myself, though i do tend to read the last pages of a book that gets me too anxious. Sometimes I think I prefer movies better as you only have a couple of hours to deal with the bad guys and hopefully end in a happily ever after.

This is kind of belittling, how the hell do u you know what I m watching for, so u just defending the plot lines even when we think it is illogical, stupid and rushed. Why r you defending it? R u the writers PR person? I can be be belittling too. Well, try to put yourself in my place. I like the plot and it's quite tiring reading how everything suck and everything don't make sense. If you don't like the plot, well, i'm fine with that, to each his own, but don't say these particular plots make no sense, because for me they do and i will argue trying to prove they do. And many people watch the series because they like MAS and the love story with Ana, so if you remove that from the series it's going to take a toll in how they like the whole thing, i was not trying to belittle anyone saying this, again, to each his own. It is very difficult for a series when one of the primary actors has to take on a different project. I watched The Vampire Diaries for many years and there was the same conversation when Nina Dobrev finished her contract and moved on. However, I decided just to enjoy that show for as long as it was on -- and hope that they would have enough time to bring the series to a satisfactory conclusion. I hope the same for Velvet -- and that Ana and Alberto have time to find each other again.

I felt the same way when Patrick Dempsey left Grey's Anatomy but continued to watch because there are other characters I like. Ana and Alberto will end up together no matter what.

I completely respect that an actor is going to seize on any opportunity to advance in his career and want to take on other projects..BUT by the same token..I wonder if I am the producer of a show that is built around two central characters main storyline... how is that not discussed and clarified that the actor is needed (I mean with agreed contracts) for the duration of the show during their production of filming. In a show like Grey's Anatomy the main character is Meredith so its all the people in her world ..but the foundation of this show is Ana and Alberto. And MAS absence is felt.

MAS said in an interview that he only signed a 2 year contract, but he liked working on the show and the people who ran it, so he told them he would continue. When Sense8 came along, they encouraged him to take it and he told them he would be available when they needed him. I guess Spanish shows don't run as long, because I know Amercian shows sign their actors up for 7 years, even if the show doesn't make it or they are let go. Unfortunately, the two shows film simultaneously, so MAS only filmed for about 3 weeks for S4. I wish that Velvet would have filmed now because it seems like he would more or less be available full time. I think it's admirable that they allowed him to take S8, but at the same time it really hurt the quality of their product. I felt they should have started wrapping things up in S3 and let A/A be happy for as long as MAS was there, which was longer than in S4. They could have wrote him out in an easier, more realistic way, maybe even Ana with him, and had him (or them) come back together for the birth or whatever. Instead we get 5 years later and a rush job s/l that has more holes than a slice of Swiss cheese.

And only release if it is cancelled or not picked up. Here is given a few seasons because it takes time to build a following for a show. I get it, in a show like Velvet if the secondary characters, i.e. Max or the seamtress who became the singer were released from a commitment but the lead characters are held to a longer commitment, because writers outline scripts (over here) two and three seasons ahead.

I am rewatching Velvet and in Season 1, eps 5, it's mentioned that Alberto loves the fabric, Silk. I find it interesting that his NY business is named silk. Another sign to Anna? Hmmmm.😎
