Ok so the season 4 spoiler at the end of season 3 was filmed before they actually started filming the new season no.? Im sure Ana does actually think about marrying Carlos etc as we all have seen the pictures of her in a wedding dress being fitted. I actually think the footage from the S4 teaser was just old clips from S1, S2, and S3 and not new footage...for example, the scenes of Ana in the wedding dress are from S1, when the Velvet team is using her as a model to make Cristina's new wedding dress (after Max lost the first one). Oh, that's a good catch. I believe the actress is married in real life, so the wedding ring could be hers and she just hasn't taken it off yet, or it could be Ana's ring if Ana is indeed already married.

I am just sceptic that Carlo would've let Ana to pursue her career to the extent it's described in the synopsis. IMO he's more of a "wife stays at home with kids"-kinda guy. Oh, all this speculation is too exciting, just want to see the new episodes (which I can't of course see live, but have to wait until they're up in Netflix or on Fyeah..'s dailymotion.) Patience is a virtue I do not possess

I don't think it's been announced yet...someone on Velvet's Spainish Wikipedia page put on there that it airs in September, but that may be someone guessing because S3 premiered in September last year. I am just sceptic that Carlo would've let Ana to pursue her career to the extent it's described in the synopsis. IMO he's more of a "wife stays at home with kids"-kinda guy. Still nothing Velvet-related on the Carlos actor's Instagram, for whatever it's worth. Well, if you're able to browse Internet during the day and/or at work, there are some sites that stream the show live from Spain...that's how I watched it last season...granted, there's no subtitles, but it's usually easy to figure out the major plot stuff (especially since the Velvet Twitter account tweets during the show and Twitter allows you to translate the tweets). That was enough to tide me over until I could watch VV's subtitles.

Oh, DO tell me more! The only hard part sometimes is finding a live stream that doesn't lag or bombard you with ads...when we get closer to the premiere date, I will hunt around for a good one and post the link to it. I found an article with what looks like it COULD be news (it's hard for me to tell sometimes what's just their speculation and what's actually spoiler-y) -- this Spanish site has an image gallery that details S4...most of it is just recycled from the press release, but clicking through I found some tidbits that the press release didn't include...are these spoilers or are all they all just speculation/wishful thinking? I don't know. But, just in case... * The article says that Carlos wants to have a family with Ana. (This MAY be outdated speculation based on the S4 teaser...) * The article says that Alberto has a "crisis" when he doesn't receive a letter from Ana. (This MAY be outdated speculation based on the S4 teaser...) * The article says that we will continue to see Patricia's softer side as she helps Ana with little Alberto. (May be wishful thinking/speculation based on the end of S3, where we saw Patricia being kinder to Ana.) That's it. Everything else they've got is just from the press release. But I was thinking that if they're right about Patricia, that may be a hopeful sign that Patricia/Enrique will meet a swift end and Patricia/Jonas will pick back up -- it's really hard to imagine a "changed" Patricia with slimy Enrique, but she'd fit just fine with Jonas. (And this means nothing, but the picture the site chose was of Patricia/Jonas.)

So I found this article with Peter Vives (Carlos) He says that Carlos is still hiding things. And that from the first few episodes it doesn't look like he's going to redeem himself. He also comments about MA missing for the first few episodes, he just says that you're afraid that when something that works is altered, the formula fails but that there's other things too that can make it be a great product. He also thinks an American version of Velvet is a great idea and that he speaks English very well (I have to agree with him there after seeing him in The Time In Between) so maybe they'll cast him.

I read the article, too and can't quite understand this line although I put it through the translator. What does he actually mean?

^What i got from it was that it was kind of like a metaphor for the show. He was referring to the overall show with MAS being gone for a few episodes saying that even though his character is a favorite/vital part of the show that automatically you think the whole product, which in this case, the show is going to suffer, but that there are other aspects to it, ie other characters and storylines that can make up for his absence and you'll still get a great product/show. If that makes sense?

Thanks for the article, VV! Nice to see the cast starting to do interviews...hope this is a sign of more to come.
I agree with your take on the line...there's been some freaking out in the media about MAS being gone because the main story of the show is supposed to be Ana/Alberto...I think he's trying to respond to that criticism/worry by defending the show, telling reporters that there's still plenty of good stuff coming.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if we hear some variation of that quote from other actors once the press for S4 starts to vamp up.

I'm sorry but does anyone think that an American version of Velvet is going to be absolutely shit?
Like. How?

I'm really wary of the prospect of an American version. The best thing that could out of it, IMO, is turning viewers onto watching the original on Netflix. The Spanish media has been discussing the American version, but I haven't seen anything about it in the American media...IIRC, the original Spanish reports said that ABC was considering ordering a pilot, and ABC usually announces those...they're filming a bunch of pilots right now for May. I think we would have heard by now if Velvet made the cut, but I could be wrong. EDITED: Okay, and right after I posted that I went nosing around on Google and found this Variety article that says this: FWIW, here's the Lionsgate TV page with a list of their projects. They're behind the ABC series Nashville, and one of their past series was Mad Men. www.lionsgate.com/tv/So...I don't know. I still can't find anything on the actual pilot filming/being shot/ordered, but Variety is an industry magazine and the article came out this week. I guess it's worth keeping an eye on now though. I'll go post all this information in the other thread on the S1 board, too.

Another new cast interview, this time with MV (Cristina). The big news: she confirms that Cristina, who now has a child, returns to the galleries because her father has died and left her his stake in Velvet. (Of course.) MV says that Cristina genuinely wants to make amends and befriend Ana. She also says that while she's gotten to film a few scenes with her aunt (who is playing Petra, Emilio's former love), their storylines don't really cross. gentedigital.es/comunidad/mamen/2016/04/manuela-velasco-una-historia-de-amor-imposible-siempre-engancha/

New interview with Ramon Campos, one of the EPs of Velvet. The interview covers several Bambu series, and he talks about Velvet at the end. He doesn't really give any spoilers we didn't already know (he talks briefly about Petra and Humberto, the new characters, and confirms that Alberto returns in S4) -- the most interesting thing is that he talks a bit about the possibility of a S5...the Google Translate version is difficult to follow, so VV might have more to add here, but this is the gist: * He says that S4 is a very important season because they plan to close/resolve some of the great love stories of the show. * He doesn't want viewers to feel like the show is being "extended" (I guess he means dragged out too long). * He says that there are some series that go past Season 4 and Season 5, but it's not usual. * He mentions the ratings for S3 (the translation wasn't very clear on this part). * He ends with saying that they are going to wait a while to decide whether or not there will be a S5. (I'm sure he means that they need to see what the ratings for this season are like.) www.vertele.com/noticias/el-productor-de-velvet-despeja-el-misterio-de-miguel-angel-silvestre-y-el-futuro-de-la-serie/So...I'm assuming that when he says some of the main love stories will be brought to a close this season, he's talking about one or all of the following: Ana/Alberto, Rita/Pedro, and/or Clara/Mateo. I'm also assuming that when he says those stories will be closed he means the actors would leave the show if it's renewed for S5 (because there'd be no point in keeping them around if their stories were finished in S4). The question then becomes this: if there is going to be a S5, which of those three couples isn't necessarily needed? Can Velvet survive without Ana/Alberto? Can it survive without some combination of Rita/Pedro/Clara/Mateo?

You got pretty much the gist of what he was talking about with Velvet. And yeah he mentioned that they'll determine whether or not there will be a s5 once they see the ratings.
I do wonder what he means by closing out some main love stories. I've grown to love all those pairings and I feel like maybe they might close Ana/Alberto though at the same time I know Paula would like to do more seasons but I do wonder if MAS would want to continue with the show. I guess we'll just have to wait and see
