Lately, I've been doing a little bit of looking around online for GH-related articles, and I found one addressing the departure of Juan Luis Galiardo, who played Ernesto in Season 2. (His last credited episode is this one, though I believe it's the S3 premiere that shows him actually departing on his motorbike as Angela reads the goodbye letter.) While filming GH, he was battling lung cancer, and he died in June 2012, months before S2 even premiered. The link is to an interview CV (Angela) gave around the time of the S2 premiere. She says that she and JLG had known each other as teenagers and so it was a bit of a reunion for them to come together for filming on GH. (Google Translate is unreliable when it comes to translating some of this, so just check the link out.) www.abc.es/20120915/estilo-gente/abci-concha-velasco-galiardo-201209131647.htmlIn the article, Bambu producer Ramon Campos adds that everyone fell in love with JLG's portrayal and that they were able to shoot many more episodes with him than they'd thought because JLG wanted to work even when he was sick. I remember thinking how strange it was that Ernesto came in for S2 and then left so suddenly, but at the time I chalked it up to GH's tendency to drop stories before I felt like they should be dropped. It wasn't until later that I found out about JLG's illness, and I came across the information again doing research this afternoon. Knowing all this adds to my appreciation of his character and his relationship with Angela.

I remember reading something about this. I thought it was really unfortunate and sad that this happened. Thanks for the article and the info. I really liked his character
