Thank you for posting -- that does seem to confirm that Patricia is back.
All I ask is that the show keep her away from Enrique.
I don't need a Patricia/Jonas scene (BUT THAT WOULD BE NICE) (BUT I KNOW HE'S MARRIED) (BUT IT WOULD STILL BE NICE). I just need her away from Enrique.

Elizabth Anne You were spot on but please give us a synopsis of the parts that provide closure to to those unresoled issues.
"Season was such a let down/disappointment! It was fragmented and left a lot of lose ends. The story line wasn't credible. How could Alberto not know about the plane crash? The day before Alberto comes back to Velvet to sign papers to become owner again, there was another man who was to come back the same day to complete the transaction to buy Velvet. He would not have purchased the galleria anyway, because Anna had given her resignation. Marco nor his father seemed surprised to see Alberto alive. Why? Christina got away with arson and Enrique got away with murder. The producers/writers rushed through Season 4 and it showed in the final analysis. I won't be interested in watching the fall line up because even fiction needs some credibility in the narration of the story line... too many unanswered questions. Also, I watched the last episode of Season 4 on Artesplayer and the day of Ana/Albert's wedding, there were parts that were completely omitted in the Netflix version... integral events that gave the story closure. Thank you!

I adored the original Velvet series. I have watched it two times now. I binged for a week. I am really trying to get into the new series and so far it doesn't keep me captive in any way. The thought of having Barbara and Christina return infuriates me. They were so hard to watch for me. They were so devious and conniving and it only got worse and worse. I loved every time Ana put her in place just to watch her suffer for all she did to her. Why would they bring Enrique back and god help us if they bring back Carlos the pilot.
What is the plot for this series. What is the structure of the ownership of the Barcelona Velvet? Does Ana and Alberto own it or is it a Franchise? Another fight scenario between a father and son (even though Sergio is Emilio's son) Ana and Alberto were the main draw. Is it that Alberto doesn't want to be a part of the new series since his new show was cancelled. What is with the "Empress" Flamenco act at Velvet. I find her extremely annoying (even if it is Penelope's sister). I am watching her now and she looks ridiculous dancing in the middle of the main floor and always fanning herself. Why did they kill off Emilio? He was great and he recently got married. That would have been a nice story line to develop. The same with Rita. What was the point in having her die. I am happy that Clara was able to mature and now has real responsibilities. This series is all over the place. Ana and Alberto were the focus and it would have been nice to continue watching them grow as a family. Velvet Collection looks like a Macy's Dept. Store instead of Bergdorf Goodman.

I'm most disappointed in losing the Rita character. Did she die? She was a breath of fresh air to all the emotionally unbalanced characters. Loved her and her relationship to Pedro and her sons. Fron the previews I saw of Velvet Collection Pedro seemed overjoyed with life which aggravated me!! I have continued watching season 1 of Velvet Collection. I am trying to make sense out of it. What is really missing is the love and friendship that was the soul of seamstresses in the sewing room. Everything revolved around Ana, Rita, Clara and the relationships they had with the other girls whose names I cannot remember (the singer and the young blonde girl that changed from being a snotty brat to a loving young lady. The dorm atmosphere was the glue of the show and they all grew up together. There is none of that now. I was so connected to the original Velvet like so many other viewers we started to feel like part of the Velvet family. In this series there is none of this. The story lines are not connected at all. It is true that we had to watch 4 seasons of Ana and Alberto suffer for years to be together and then all at once they get married and move to NYC and it's over. I really wonder why the writers of such a successful show would not continue to develop the story line instead of trashing it. This happens a lot with the original series being very successful like the show Dallas here in the U.S.......they tried to make a new Dallas and it was terrible and failed. With Christina trying to kill Ana 3 times (pushing her down the stairs when Ana was pregnant, the scissors and the fire) and was never arrested. I love the idea of bringing back Patricia to put Enrique in jail. I admit that I have to fast forward when the Flamenco dancer is in the scene. She is loud, obnoxious and a drama queen. Velvet was so upscale and elegant. I really miss that aspect.

Because of that this is not Velvet anymore. This is Velvet Collection - another series with new characters and plotlines. Paula Echevarria and Miguel Angel Silvestre now have another works, they can't be Ana and Alberto forever and writers felt that it's time to finish their story.
Cecilia Freire who played Rita didn't want to continue with character so that's the answer why she's not in VC.

Wow. I'm not surprised that whole story line with Patricia was boring. Only stories held my interest was the original velvet characters and their significant others. I wanted to see Pedro get his happy ever after. I will miss seeing the actors. So keep us informed of heir next ventures.

So I'm late to the game but just completed VELVET Collection. I had started it a few months back but I didnt think I could get into it without the Ana/Alberto love story. For the most part I enjoyed it but some things were kind of bizarre... Emilios return midseason?? Also how is Lourdes 16 but the twins only 8ish?? Lourdes would have been 2 maybe 3 when Alberto Jr. And Cris Were born or am I totally off on that?? I'm glad the Clara/Mateo love story is continuing and am excited to see what season 3 brings. I would still love to see a glimpse of Ana and Albertos life in New York or even see rhen open a Velvet New York!! Anyone else having wishful thinking???

The timeline on this show is extremely screwed up, but, yeah, Lourdes is born at the end of S1, and Alberto Jr. is born at the end of S3, and the twins are born several months after his birth, during the gap between S3 and S4. So while Lourdes is a little older than the others, she shouldn't be that much older. The writers just aged her up so they could insert her in the storyline with Manolito.

Thank you for posting! I'm so excited about all of this news. I was less than thrilled with the storytelling of S2, so I'm hoping this will be a return to something more like the Velvet of old...a nice send-off.

MAS has been posting video from the first table read of the script. He is so goofy sometimes. Loves to kid around. It looks like almost everyone from Velvet is there except for Raul. Probably has some professional conflicts and can't be there.
