I truly do love Mateo...❤️❤️❤️He has been a really good friend to Ana during Alberto absence. He has fought and gone to war for her!!!!He has supported her dreams and helped her realize them....he has protected her and all through never took an advantage of her !!!He has truly proved to be a loyal friend and brother to Alberto...And now he must go to NYC to bring Alberto home...he is going to filll him in on everything that has happened and happening especially with Ana.
Yep...I anticipate an angry Alberto coming home... 1.To Ana for not responding to his letters or telling him about the baby 2.To Carlos for stealing his life 3.Enrique and Marco for messing with Ana 4.To Cristina for her evil ways Enough anger to go around!!!!Even with Mateo for not looking for him earlier...but Mateo excuse will be ,We thought you DIED!Oh by the way you never called.Knowing Alberto he is going to find out why all his letters never made it to Ana.He isn't going to sit idly and watch Carlos marry Ana.We are going to see a very determined and angry Alberto trying to make things right.😀

Thank you for whoever suggested we NOT talk politics here as I get enough from Facebook. This should be a fun and entertaining blog.
I too finally got to see the E6 in subtitles. Thanks again for all your hard work translating for us. I though E6 had a lot of heart. It brought back the reason I watched Velvet to begin with was the friendship these people have for one another. I actually cried in so many scenes as it was so heartfelt and moving.
I too wish that Ana hadn't thrown the money back at Marco and Enrique, and kept it for the repairs of the shop. That would have been sweet. But that's life eh? But of course Ana has a lot on her plate. Events are happening all around her where she really has no control. MArco and Enrique, Carlos and Christina, and now Rita and then the store. Please, even I would be exhausted and preoccupied. The justice will soon come and I don't think it will be just Alberto swooping in to save the day, I think it will a perfect storm, with everyone working together, Mateo, Alberto and Ana to bring justice to the axis of evil. Alberto's return won't take much for everyone to head for the hills. They will be scared shitless. It will really mess with everyone's plans.
I also want to quickly say that E6 was important for this season as it restablished the tone of the show. What I mean by that, for most of the season we've seen everyone working independently and not really conversing with each other. Ana is busy with the store and Alberto Jr. Clara and Mateo have their thing going on, Raul busy with the collection and Humberto, Rita and Petro facing their own problems. No one was really talking to each other or spending time with each other. Now with this, Rita's cancer it brought them all back together and now we'll see, hopefully, a return to sharing of information, and even a comrade in arms against those at the top. That's my hope anyway. Want I want is Raul to get in on this. He's got a lot of clout in the gallerias and we all know Raul, once he sets his mind to something, he doesn't hold back. And he's not a huge fan of Enrique. Enrique is doing exactly to Ana what Enrique did to Raul. That's not going to sit well with him. I love him so much, especially when he dances. Remember when Mateo was going to propose to Clara, Raul was helping Mateo relax. That was sooooo funny. I just love him!!
Enrique is a pig. I can't stand him. THE most hated character of the show. I can't wait for him to get the justice he deserves. I have always hope that it's Barbara that comes back and with her supicious mind proves to be his downfall. It would be sweet justice for Barbara. She'll suspect that it's Enrique's child Patricia is carrying and she'll put the 2 together and cause something. Maybe he'll get arrested and put away like his sister was. One can only hope!!!

When Velvet 5 years before was in economic problems they had loses for about 10.000.000 pesetas. Ana may be a successful designer but she is also a novel designer making herself a name in the fashion world. Now, with an established name is when she could begin to make real money. Anyway, 72000 pesetas is a lot of money, no wonder why Rita didn't want to ask Ana, as she said, what if Ana needs the money for her son, if something wrong happens to Ana that kid would be alone in the world with just an old uncle who is not going to live forever...
Yes, exactly. Money lending and friends is a terrible combination, nothing good comes from that in real life. Pedro reacted as any normal spaniard would had, asking the family first.

By the way, for those of you who don't know what "Arras" (wedding coins) are en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Las_arras It's a catholic tradition, now it's something symbolic about sharing wealth with your spouse. Kids from the family are dressed as "niños de arras" or "pages" www.google.com/search?q=ni%C3%B1os+de+arras&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj4g47XrK3QAhWHvRoKHXxeBbYQ_AUICCgB&biw=1920&bih=960 and one of their "jobs" is carrying the arras or wedding coins to the bride and groom who then interchange them. Cristina jokes about how cute her daughter will be as one of the pages in Ana's wedding, carrying the arras to Ana and Carlos. Of course to be the pages in the wedding means that the kids are also protagonists, its a fun way of letting them participate taking care of "tasks", like carrying petals or the coins, and things like that.

Love Velvet and await with baited breath to read and see all that I can. Am so grateful for the hard work providing subtitled episodes. I am 73 years old and an American. I voted for Trump. He was not my choice in the primary but he won. I am very conservative, believe in our Constitution and love and respect my country. I have been disappointed with comments on this site about our President-elect. He is not perfect but his policies hopefully turn this country around and go in the direction of economic growth, security and smaller government. The general media is so liberal and to the far left that they forgot about the grass root Americans. Because I am a white conservative, I am labeled a racist and a white privileged supremacist. This is not true. Everyone needs to trust our system! I believe the results of this Administration will go down in history as one that is for peace and love. Trump is for all people! Do not believe the propaganda of lies‼️ Joy Joy we don't discuss politics there is is all about VELVET PLEASE WE ARE NOT INTERESTED IN ANY ONES POLITICAL VIEW 🌏❤️️

It would have been sweet justice if Ana had taken the money to repair the store so that not only have Enrique and Marco paid for the renovations their plan to stop Ana would not have happened. And didn't Carlos make up the shortfall in renting the store? Why wasn't he upset? And why wasn't the creep at the hospital as well. After all he's been hanging around all this time wouldn't a friendship have happened with the others? Alberto would have been there by Ana's side. Oh he plays the part so well that if I were ever to see Peter Vives play a role in another show I would still hate him!

My hope is that they all work together to undermine Marco and Enrique in some way. I just really don't want it to be that Alberto comes back and solves things. I would like there to be a little team work and planning going on with Ana, Mateo, Emilio, Pedro, Raul, Jonas, etc to stick it to those guys in some way. (And Rita if she's feeling up to it.). I think it would be so satisfying to see them all pull together. Plus, it's so fun when they are all interacting like that!
I'm excited to see the football game today, mostly because Raul playing in the promo was hilarious to me!!

Ohhhh....thanks.Whats the title of chapter 7...? Oops, lol. "En juego" the name of chapter 7. In means "to be at play/stake" I suppose it's a wordplay, because it means that a football match is being played, so the result of the game is at play/stake, but it also can be used to refer to something is at stake/play, in this case the future of Ana when Mateo discovers that Alberto is still alive, maybe?

The show is going off the rails and though I am totally loving the talented performances of all the actors..The Rita and Pedro storyline is the one pulling the heartstrings this season. I have to say this is totally the fault of letting it's main central actor go for so long. Yes yes I understand MAS had commitment to Sense8, but producers this sent the series into an almost nosedive. You can't have a show which is built around two strong characters Ana and Alberto and their love story for 3 seasons THEN start chopping it up and making plots that weaken the main characters...Ana and Alberto are now reduced to a non existent subplot. I actually am doubting Alberto will appear until the final episode. Ana (as beautiful as the actress Paula is her character is BORING) Also where's anything about fashion? The show doesn't feel like a family fashion dynasty.

The show doesn't feel like a family fashion dynasty. I wonder if it would have worked better if they maybe had a scene or two about Alberto starting earlier? Basically the same amount of scenes to accommodate his filming schedule, but stretched out over more episodes? But then I think people would be complaining about not getting enough Alberto or the story line taknig too long. They were really in a no win situation. Because I never cared that much about the Ana and Alberto story line it hasn't bothered me as much. They have always been a little boring to me. I watched the first three episodes and was thinking I just wasn't going to like velvet so I put it aside for a few months. It wasn't until they started focusing more on the other characters that the show got interesting to me. I agree that we are missing the fashion aspect of the show (and the camaraderie of the employees). It would be nice if they could bring some of that back in. The feel in the store is different and I struggle with that more than Alberto's absence. But that is a product of the store being run by the Cafeiro's. It changed the entire feel of the store, imo.

Thanks so much for your hard work, as always, VV! I'll probably have more to say later, but mannnnn, Marco is so disappointing. I keep saying this, but I had such hopes for him at the end of S3. I thought he would be different, but he's turned into a very one-note villain for me. I wish his reasons for opposing Ana ran deeper than just hurt pride and a class bias. ETA: Looks like I'm just repeating what others have already said, oops. lol Still! Oh, Marco... :/ I have never liked Marco, but you guys are right, he wasn't so one dimensional last season. He has just always seems so arrogant and cocky and that is such a turn off for me! Plus, the increase in work hours without increasing pay just seemed horrible. I don't know how you can even get away with that. Is like cutting the entire stores pay! Were there no labor laws in Spain? What keeps anyone loyal to the store if they are working more hours for the same pay, no raises in five years, and now he's trying to kick them out of their housing, which is essentially another pay decrease. Was all the working class in Madrid/Spain treated this way? Otherwise wouldn't the employees go find better work elsewhere?

Why throw back at them it makes good dramatic effect but not for the reality of the story. Alberto was at Louisa husband's funeral, Carlos is alway only focus on marrying Ana nothing else.

There were laws protecting workers, but there were not syndicates, it was a dictatorship back then. The story doesn't try to be realistic, but the workforce in the cities increased a lot because people immigrated from the spanish countryside to the cities, trying to escape from poverty. So few jobs and too many people looking for jobs is a recipe for ruthless businessmen taking advantage of the workers. In fact many people emigrated to Germany looking for jobs, Rosa María is shown doing this, though the idea of most was to work for some years and then go back to Spain, Germany is a beautiful country... but it pales compared to Spain, at least for spaniards

Chapter Six was infact a tearjerker!!!!!😭😭😭😭😭😭As I watched the episode I didn't notice tears on my cheeks.Rita is such a lovable character, she is strong ,sensible, loyal and funny...I am not happy with the cancer storyline but life does throw us a curve ball!Ana has hers,Alberto has his and so does Rita and that's life.I hope she pulls through the surgery..because Ana will need her when Alberto comes back. I love Rita's character most because as a friend she calls it as it is!!!❤️!
