I thought it would be a good idea to open a thread for news/updates about The Embassy (or La Embajada), Bambu's new show that is supposed to air on Antena3 (same channel as Velvet and GH) sometime this year.

Summary: (cobbled together from various Spanish articles) Luis Salinas (Abel Folk) is the new Spanish ambassador to Thailand and has just moved with his family to Bangkok. His wife, Claudia (Belen Rueda) begins an affair with a younger man, Luis's own secretary (Chino Darín). Claudia also begins to suspect that Luis is involved in some sort of corruption/scandal. Oh, and apparently their daughter Esther (Úrsula Corberó) gets romantically involved with Roberto (Maxi Iglesias), the younger brother of Eduardo Iglesias (Raúl Arévalo) -- a FormulaTV article says that Eduardo/Roberto's family business isn't strictly legal, and apparently Roberto's attraction to Esther will have him questioning which side he wants to be on, since he is the "white sheep" in a family of black sheep.
Vibe: Producers have said in interviews that they looked to US shows like House of Cards and The Affair for inspiration.
Number of episodes: 13, per this article, which also says that the series could be renewed for more seasons if viewers like it
Airdate: can't find an airdate, but actors have been promoting it as "coming soon" on social media...definitely sometime in 2016
Why it's worth paying attention: If S4 of Velvet is the last season, this may be the best place to get a "fix" since so many of the same people are involved.
