Okay I just finished the last episode of Velvet on Netflix and there are so many things that are left unexplained!! And a few things that I'm sure I just don't get. Can anybody help me understand the following:
1) How is Cristina not in jail for arson?? She set the whole place on fire. Cafiero announces that she did it... And she just gets to go chill in her mansion? 2) Alberto and Cafiero signed an agreement so Alberto got his shares.. but did he also get Enrique and Cristina's shares? Enrique tells Patricia that there's nothing left at Velvet for him, or something to that effect, so I guess it's implied? 3) Why did Clara and Mateo separate in the first place? Clara kept acting like he did something, but she never explained it. It kinda makes it seem like the writers just didn't feel like thinking of a reason so they just kind of left it up to the audience to assume it just "didn't work out." 4) Uhh how did Enrique and Patricia get away with Valentin's murder? They were being investigated and then, all of a sudden.. they weren't. 5) Why did Ana have on a different wedding dress after she went to the hospital... 6) What is the deal with Alberto's studio in NY? Why was that lady so weird towards Mateo when he went to it? Why was it "only open at night with appointments"? Then, at the airport, Alberto sees a client and Mateo says to him "what kind of relationship do you have with your clients ? .." It all seemed kinda sketchy, like it was almost a brothel-type situation, which I know it's not... but seriously what's the deal?
Sorry for all the questions, I'm a fanatic.

Hello and welcome! Unfortunately, I think a lot of the stuff you mentioned is just sloppy writing. I don't know that the writers ever intended for the show to go as far as season four, and the fact that they only had MAS for a few days of filming complicated matters further. Also, I haven't been able to rewatch S4 yet, so it's been months and a lot of the details from it have faded from my mind. Someone may have better answers for some of your questions (though, again, the writing was so sloppy in S4 that there may not be any good answers). I can answer #6 though -- the show really didn't get into the details, but a tie-in novel released in Spain focused on the fact that Alberto was sleeping with the women who came to his studio...he was basically, like, a sex god in NYC or something. An awesome poster here, alfi, translated the portions of the book for English speakers -- you can find all that information here. It will shed more light on what the show only hinted at: fyeahghandvelvet.freeforums.net/thread/194/velvet-noches-de-terciopelo

Dane Guest, everything was just sloppy. We all also wondered the same things (and possibly more). That is why season 4 was so unfulfilling it just didn't make sense. I wonder whether the new velvet collecion writing will be good.

Okay so why does Ana have short hair in s4 all the way up to her wedding (the last try, outside) - her hair is long from that point on in the show? Also. Did anyone realize she wore THREE different wedding dresses? I'm dying for some more Velvet. It was amazing ❤️

It was obvious Ana wore 3 wedding dresses. The 1st one to be married to Carlos. It was one of Jonas entry dresses. The second one was made by the Velvet Girls. Rita collapsed, probably had hospital smell on it or no time to clean, thus the 3rd one as the are getting married that night. I was wondering why Christina was not in an institutional prison for Arson?

I imagine when Velvet was sold, that Enrique and Christina got paid the value of their shares.
