Lara, Another way of saying it is why didn't he react to "why is she screaming for 'Alberto', I'm right here" or "another Alberto? Who?"when they went inside to look for her son and she realized something was wrong.

Alberto did ask her what was wrong? You could see the concern written all over his face..why was she yelling his name..all distressed!!When she broke the news about their son...the man went numb and was in shock...it took him a full min to process..before he galvanized into action to look for their son.

Ya, I can see what you mean. The kid reveal scene was definitely intense because of what it was about but it could have included more of "you have a kid?" "it's mine?!" "but how" "you are the mother of my child" "omg I have to save him". We just have to take everything for granted because there is no time left episode-wise to explore the characters and their tribulations. Love Raul too!
Lara, Another way of saying it is why didn't he react to "why is she screaming for 'Alberto', I'm right here" or "another Alberto? Who?"when they went inside to look for her son and she realized something was wrong. Exactly! When she started running and screaming Alberto, I kept thinking isn't Alberto Sr. finding this super strange? I think he should have looked a lot more confused then he did. Lol When she said she had a son, I think his first thought would be it's Carlos' or someone else's. He could have asked right after she said it, you have a son? With who? Then she could have said, he's yours. The next logical question that definitely should be asked is 'when did you find out you were pregnant'? Or 'did you know you were pregnant before I left'? That is a painful, but necessary question to ask. If she knew and didn't tell him and kept pushing him away, that would reflect badly on Ana in his mind I would think. I wonder if he'll ever know what Cristina tried to do? I'm guessing not. That's what I mean by them using a gimmick like the fire --- which didn't serve much of a purpose since Cristina survived, the kid will be ok, Velvet is still standing-- to gloss over what could have been some great dialogue. I guarantee the scenes would have been 100x more emotional than the frenetic scene we got. Alberto had little to no time to process all the information, so we really missed out on his reactions. Another way they could have done it was reveal to Alberto after he rescued him who the kid was, but then that would require him not knowing his name or that Ana was his mother. Name and age give it away. Though they played completely dumb with the Adele thing, so maybe it could have worked. Lol Yeah we just have to accept that we were cheated of only seeing Alberto for no longer than 2 eps. I still think they could have done a better job of answering some questions, but it is what it is. I think tomorrow is the last we'll ever see of the character.😢 This is the only place that still has the retrospective ep up. YouTube had it, but all taken down so this person put it up on his FB page. www.facebook.com/pg/Joaqbarbo/videos/?ref=page_internal

Give them some credit the questions will come but it will be off screen.. she will tell him everything.. hence he will begin to investigate about his letters to Ana.And because of th e dramatic reveal..it doesn't make sense Alberto standing there and interrogating her if the baby is his.?how?when? He accepted the news because he loves and respects her too much..unlike Cristina's reveal...where he bombarded her with questions and grudgingly accepted the pregnancy.. I know we all want to see a play by play of A/A scenes but we are not going to get it..we just have to imagine it or it happens offscreen.

Hopeless, we'll have to agree to disagree. Tropicaldawl and I both pretty much feel similar about it, which is why it came up again. It's all subjective anyway, what is emotional to you, isn't to me. The point I was making is that I didn't want it to be frenetic and adrenaline filled, I would have preferred it slower with more dialogue and less action. He had no time to ask her anything because how they chose to go. Though I think he could have gotten a few questions in like whose son is he. It's not about not trusting her or accepting the news, it's about realistic reactions and curiosity. After all that time, it would be natural to be shocked to find out Ana had a child and not to be 100% sure whose it is. I don't think the guy could even stop and think between the chaos. It could have been a 3 year old for all Alberto knew at that time. Having all those questions asked and answered off screen after waiting this long is not satisfying to me. I was hoping we would at least see some stuff addressed more in depth.

Reading the above replies made me wonder whether Alberto knew Ana was about to get married to Carlos. Well he will by next episode lol

Thank you Carlucc! So when she tearfully broke the news to him...instead of asking questions it galvanized him into a daddy mode...the slow dialogue would've been predictable.

The fire scene was definitely intense, I cried. That was not the point, hopeless. Back to my original opinion - for me it was the initial reunion and kiss that felt very technical. For the latter part - as they went into the fire scene there just must have been more going on in his head that we didn't get to see articulated. If the ending and his return weren't so compressed I'm sure we would have gotten to see a bit more of that. After all Alberto is back we want to see him act and fill our screens Lara, I liked your writing suggestions! The more we see it and talk about the show the more we dissect it this forum has diversity and it is to be embraced! All I am staying away completely from the spoiler thread before tomorrow.

Well before they went in Ana did tell him she has someone for him to meet and he asked her if she is going to tell him and she said no but you will like it, so in my opinion there would be no need for questions as to who the father is because she did tell him in her panic that it was his son so it probably clicked as to that is who she wanted him to meet plus he knows Ana would not lie about something like that.

If I was In Alberto's shoes I wouldn't have wanted to see some random other person, I'd want to continue savouring the moment with Ana. They'd just found each other again. To him she was the most important thing in the world, why would he want to interrupt that? He went along just to please her and for the story line. Not knowing that the someone would be such a big deal to him.

I think it is a tension breaker also because they are having a very tense reunion talked for a while when she said she had someone she wants him to meet I am sure for Alberto at that moment anything Ana wants he will do it. So it is conceivable this moment is as good as any other moment to reveal Alberto Jr.

Ana had a pregnancy denial during her first pregnancy months, so she was already pregnant since a few month when she discovered her pregnancy.
