The 3rd letter said he was turning 12. I remember Mateo saying at the funeral he had to wait 13 years before getting a real brother/best friend.
I thought he was at boarding school and then college but if Alberto turned 30 in the first season and they hadn't seen each other for 7 years he would have been 22-23 the last time. Old enough to make decisions and marry the girl you love.

When Alberto was throwing the paper planes βοΈ at Ann he looked to be only a year or two older than she was. When he left for London she was 15 I do not know how old he was.

They met when they were 12 years old? i don't remember if they specified how old they were. The first season it's 1958 and seven years have passed since they were separated (its' 1963 in the fourth season)... they were in their late twenties by then, almost 30, which doesn't make sense since they were supposed to be teenagers, 17-18, in 1951, so yep, the timeline doesn't make sense... MAS is now 34 and Paula is 39 so maybe these 5 'lost' or magically added years have to do with their real age. Hmmmm...I'm thinking that Alberto meant that he would meet Ana at noon or midnight on Christmas Eve at their special place

Yep, he was telling her to meet him at 12:00 ... my bad. Lol! The whole timeline still doesn't make any sense though. I'm just gonna chalk it up to the writers being sloppy on that detail π

If I am not mistaken in boarding school you also learn a trade . After leaving there he went to work at some big department store for how long I don't remember if writers had said. Alfi how old do you think Alberto is when he and Ann first met?

It's actually a compliment to them that such brilliant smart and funny π people are so addicted to the show π

I went to boarding school and it was just regular school. I assumed Alberto went through college and then worked in some London department store until his dad brought him back to Velvet.
Did they release any letters from when Alberto was traveling the Silk Road and form NYC?

Alfi how old do you think Alberto is when he and Ann first met? I had no clue, you were the one answering my question i supposed about 10-12. I even didn't remember that Ana is like a year or so younger. In the book "Noches de terciopelo", which is about Alberto in New York after his travels to the far east, Adele discovers Alberto's diary which he was writing like it was a letter to Ana about what he was doing, but nope, there are not letters.... yet.

www.antena3.com/series/velvet/quinta-carta-alberto-ana-londres_20140401571ba95c6584a8abb580a6f5.htmlThe fifth letter of Alberto Ana from LondonListen fully the fifth letter sent to Ana by Alberto from his stay in London narrated by Miguel Angel Silvestre. A new year begins, 1952, and Alberto still doesn't forget Ana ... London, January 10, 1952 A month ago I believed that now you and I would be away from everything. Together. That this year would be ours. But everything went wrong, Ana. You did not come. I waited more than four hours and you din't show up. To make matters worse, my family discovered that I had escaped and when i came back, I had a confrontation with my father. He told me that you had forgotten me, that i should assume it and get on with my life. But I didn't believe him. I was furious and told him I wished he had died and not my mother. He slapped my face, Ana. Never before he had beaten me. I ... should not have said something like that, but I have not apologized. Neither he has done. The holidays have been hell. I was mad with the world and with you. I had even thought not to write you again, until I realized something: someone else is reading these letters , no doubt about it. How else would my father know that I wanted to see you on Christmas Eve? Still, I decided to continue writing them ... hoping that someday, perhaps one, even just one, reaches your hands. Luckily, London has the energy I need. Sometimes I believe that the city never ends. Mateo has got a small job as an errand boy at the Ambassadors Theatre, where they are preparing a play by Agatha Christie ...! When he has finished making errands, I go to see him. We got on the gods and we swallow the rehearsals. It is of the few times that I forget about everything. From how I hate my father, to how lonely I am here ... But not about you, Ana. You don't go out of my mind. I love you, Alberto. PS: Happy 1952

Alberto writes a new letter, this time from Dublin. Alberto tells Ana the story of a very special ring ... Dublin, February 14, 1952 Dear Ana, As you have seen in the return address, I do not write you from London. For a week now I'm in a study trip in...Ireland! Ireland is a much more rural country than London ( i would have said Dublin instead of Ireland but.. ) and even more rainy. I think it must be a lot like your town, Ana, for how you described it to me. Mateo wants to go today to a typical Irish bar. He says he knows someone who knows someone ... But before i wanted to prepare this letter and send the small gift that accompanies it. I imagine you've not resisted (the temptation) and you've opened the envelope ... If you have not, do it now. Come on ... this is for you. Are you watching it? Do you have it in your hand? It's a ring ... but not just any. It is the Claddagh ring I bought in Galway, where the ring legend was born. They say a man named Richard Joyce emigrated there to work with the hope of marrying his beloved in his return. However, the ship was captured during the trip and Joyce was sold as a slave to a Muslim goldsmith with whom he learned this skill. When King William III ascended the throne, he called for the release of all British prisoners. Richard Joyce was released after fourteen years ... and Joyce returned home to marry his beloved. So he designed a ring as a symbol of their love. As the clerk told me the story, I bought one. He said that if you gave it to the woman you loved, it was the same as saying that you loved her forever, not matter how much time passed, no matter the distance. I love you. Alberto.

Oh to be loved like Alberto loves his Ana!......swoooooooon! πππ

I canβt/donβt want to believe that Alberto would try to forget Ana after he left Spain by having sex with lots and lots of women and having a relationship with Adele. Iβm just going to pretend that this book doesnβt exist and the same Alberto from these letters has been pining away for Ana for all these years.

I remember somewhere in the 1st season Alberto went to London school of Economic then work in the department store so he must be in his early 20s.
