The letter from Adele to Alberto was saying that she has arrived to Velvet and will soon ask his dear Ana for the models he requested. I found it weird that his desire to contact her seems professional!

Many thank yous for the link to Part One. Might there be a link to Part Two? Hi! Sorry, I should have clarified when I added the link in the first post -- VV breaks the episode in half when she subs. I will post a link to Part 2 here when she's got it up and running. You can also keep checking her Tumblr, which is where she posts the link first: fyeahgranhotelandvelvet.tumblr.com/

Impressions from the first half of Velvet 4x1 thanks to VV's subtitles: * It was sort of clear from the live feed, but even moreso with the subtitles that Ana/Marco's relationship appears to have totally deteriorated from the S3 finale (remember how we were talking about the warm vibe between them and the possibility of an Ana/Marco pairing?). I wonder what happened over the last five years to make them seem so borderline hostile? Though it could just be that Ana's had time to grow frustrated with his tactics with the workers (i.e., not giving anyone a raise). * You know what would have been a good move, show? Making the audience think Patricia's sleeping with Enrique exclusively and then pulling a big reveal at the end of the episode that she's also seeing Jonas on the side (SHOCK: all that football stuff is just Jonas' cover for secret dates with Patricia, LOL). Because if there's supposed to be real love between Patricia and Enrique, it wasn't coming through at all in their first scene together. They seem to be about what they've always been about: sex. And Enrique is coming off as even more of an ass than he's ever been. "Is it a long letter?" Ass. And then his response to Cristina crying over their father was to offer to buy her shares...ugh. If there's ever going to be any redemption coming for Enrique, it's certainly not starting in this episode. * Speaking of Cristina, I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I felt awful for her as she read the letter from her father. * Aww, Mateo bumped Humberto from the cover to feature Ana. Mateo adores Ana so much it's almost as if he's just transferred his love for Alberto over to her. It's such a great relationship. * All of the scenes where Clara, Rita, Ana, and Mateo talk about the anniversary of Mateo/Clara's break-up have made me even more anxious for details and to see Clara and Mateo in the same room again. The show has done a really good job building up anticipation for this story. It's hands-down the storyline I'm most invested in right now. * Awwwww, Jonas' face as he heard Raul ranting about wanting a tailor. That just warmed my heard. I can't believe there was ever a time where I was irritated by Jonas (that was in S2 when he was smacking on the gum all the time).

One thing anglo speakers may not notice is that Marco Cafiero (Francesco Testi) spanish has improved immensely, it was a must, since his character had been living more than five years in Spain now.
Raul de la Riva says "Stronzo di merda" in italian when he speaks with Ana about Marco, meaning "piece of shit", in spanish is a really strong insult, (pedazo de mierda) but using italian reduces a lot of that strength.
When Rita says gentleman she mispronounced using spanish pronunciation and she says something like: henterman.
