So I just discovered daily motion 3 days ago and finished all episodes. Season 2 left you on a high note to then have season 3 do the opposite. I watched the first 2 season and loved it but Im annoyed that the writers are making my stomach upset. Inthink everyone here wants Ana and Alberto together. I've been on an emotiinal roller coaster. Season 3 is good but there are a few things that bugged me. 1. When Ana and Alberto stop being together because of the cheating he doesnt fight for her hard enough. After sometime of givingnher space he should have tried to win her back. A couple times you think hes going to kiss her but they dont. Another issue which maybe im wrong about is how is it Ana didnt know she was pregnant before 3 monthsmhad passed. I couldnt get my tablet to show sub titles so I didnt understand every said in Spanish. The only reason ive been able to watch all 15 episodes so fast is that ive been skipping parts im not interested in. Mostly I want to know will Ana and Alberto get together. I like clara and Mateo, also Rita her husband and the girls downstairs but the other parts not as much. Anyways Alberto had the chance to fully fight for Ana like he did at the end of season 2 but to keep the story going they had to twist and turn the plot so show wouldnt be overn so soon. Now I have to wait for who knows how long for season 4.

Hello,
OK several things. I do have season 3 subs embedded on the video now if you'd want to go back and watch it with subs (but something tells me you're not going to want to haha). 1) And I understand how disappointing s3 was for Ana x Alberto. I was so bummed when Ana ended it with Alberto but I loved how he respected her decision, obviously he didn't agree with her decision which I didn't either but he gave her the space she wanted and still showed how much he cares for/loves her. 2) Believe it or not it happens. I don't think they gave an exact reasoning as to why it took her so long to realize she was pregnant but I got the impression that it was because she was so overwhelmed with work that she didn't notice. Or even think to notice. But it does happen. There's a lot of women who don't start showing signs or who don't realize it several months later.
I think the fact that they had to write out Alberto for the last few episodes of the season had a lot to do with the route they decided to take. Since Miguel Angel (the actor who plays Alberto) had to go film another show they had to find some way to make it work. Had he not had to go film Sense8, we might have gotten lots more AnaxAlberto. But now we have to wait for a reunion but Ana x Alberto will be together in the end. Like I see no other ending, besides, they have a child together so like yeah, it's going to happen. lol
And Season 4 most likely will be here in September. Maybe sooner.

Now I have to wait for who knows how long for season 4. Hi! Okay, I'm going to defend Alberto/the writing a little bit here, because Alberto's actions after the cheating revelation actually did make sense to me. Now, if they'd been back in S1, I absolutely believe Alberto would have kept trying to win Ana back with romantic gestures. But now, at this point in S3, I think he'd basically been beaten down by the guilt he was feeling, because he had so many reasons to feel it. First, because they all believed at that point that Cristina was pregnant with his child, a fact which had been weighing heavily on him -- he did NOT want to be with Cristina, but he also wanted step up and make sure he was a real father to his child, and the whole situation undoubtedly brought up the issues Alberto has with his own parents and upbringing. He and Ana had been trying to get past it, but that baby (and Alberto's "sins," I guess you could say, of marrying Cristina in the first place and then, he believed, accidentally getting her pregnant just when he was ready to leave her for Ana) had been hanging in the air around them, because it meant that Cristina would never fully be out of their lives and that Alberto's first child would be with a woman other than Ana (another thing I think Alberto felt guilty about). Then, there's the guilt he felt about effectively cheating on Ana with Sara. Alberto gave in, in his mind a moment of weakness that he wishes he'd been strong enough to withstand. And then Cristina used it as a weapon to hurt Ana, which Alberto knows she wouldn't have been able to do if he'd just been honest with Ana about it in the first place -- yet another mistake he made. Finally, there's the guilt he felt over what Ana told him about how she felt held back in some ways by their relationship. I don't think he'd ever really considered before what it was like for her to wait for him, and wait, and wait, and wait -- for her to watch him have success and go all over the world and experience so many things while she stayed at Velvet and just dreamed. All Alberto has ever wanted was to make Ana feel like a queen, and here she was telling him that she DIDN'T feel that way...that she wanted something from life that he couldn't give her. So IMO, Alberto staying away from Ana after she asked him to was in part because he was trying to respect her wishes, but also in part because he was basically punishing himself. Even now, in Istanbul, I think he's still punishing himself -- he's denying himself Ana and Velvet and trying to build himself back up into someone who feels worthy again. One last thing: I had mixed feelings toward the end of S3 (I was questioning some of the writing choices), but it actually did help A LOT to re-watch the show -- I found that I liked a few things better, and the things I didn't like I could at least justify in a way I couldn't back in December. If you get a chance, I would re-watch while we wait for S4.

^Some major points I totally agree with! Alberto's guilt is a major, major factor that also came into play with that. I couldn't have said that any better.
Which is why when s4 comes around, I want to see the Alberto we got back in the first episode. The hopeful, nothing's going to get in my way from being happy Alberto. Because he's been through a lot since that first episode. I know Cristina is going to continue to make it worse, but he wasn't taking her crap for most of this season and I believe that is only going to continue in s4. I think he's in the process of forgiving himself, that's why he went away, and then at the same time, he's giving Ana the opportunity to do what she wants with her career. I think part of the problem with Ana and Alberto is that it's not only people who are standing in their way of being together, but it's also the timing and what they both want for themselves. Now that they have a baby, things are going to change. But I think when Alberto does return, and after all the shock and whatever that's going to come with the news that he's alive, the timing will be right with them.
I can basically talk about these two all day but I'll stop now. haha
And I agree that it does help to re-watch because even though you know what's going to happen, you sometimes catch things you didn't the first time.

yes I agree, I will watch sesson 3 again from the begining now that i know how to get the subtitles. Yes perhaps Alberto was punishing himself but after he found out it wasnt his baby he should have told Ana. I wasn't 100% sure that he was in Istanbul but sounds like I was right.
With Carlos I dont understand how Ana is dating him again. She's smart and must remember that he was rough with her. I have till September to re watch season 3 so plenty of time. Hopefully Netflix will have it soon so I can watch via my Roku TV. If not ill watch again on my small tablet via your site. Thanks marshmallow for having the site so we can watch Velvet. Your a lifesaver

Yeah you can watch them here fyeahgranhotelandvelvet.tumblr.com/post/138181442682/velvet-season-3-english-subtitles-mobile-friendlyI agree in that he should've told Ana that the baby wasn't his before going to the papers with it. But he did it at a time where he had it set in his mind that it wasn't going to change anything. He even asked her and she told him that it wouldn't. Though it did make a difference for her, but she got to him too late after he had already left. And yeah he changed his mind about Cuba so he went to Istanbul instead. Yeah the whole Carlos/Ana thing. Ugh I love Ana but she can be too nice sometimes. And she is smart and I know they hinted at a wedding for those two in s4 but I really hope Ana thinks twice about it. I felt like in s3, she sensed that he was being a bit too much but months passed and he was still hanging around. I think she was just scared about raising the baby by herself, especially when you look at the time period they are in, though I like how Emilio told Carlos that Ana was raised pretty much with just him and she ended up fine. It's just Carlos kept feeding her these ideas that it was going to be too hard for her and that she was going to need him. She seemed to fall for those ridiculous ideas but I hope she realizes this before she agrees to marry him. Yeah I think Netflix might put it up by June or July. Possibly sooner since it ended earlier than last season. And you're welcome!

I thought this would be a good place to post this...Ramon Campos (one of the show's executive producers) said in a recent interview that they believe the mistake they made with S3 -- one that cost them viewers, apparently -- was that they started off with a lot of "soft" comedy, and they realized that viewers want/need more drama. www.vertele.com/noticias/el-productor-de-velvet-desde-cual-fue-el-fallo-de-la-ultima-temporada/What do you guys think? Did you have a similar feeling about the first few episodes of S3?

Hm.. interesting.
It's been awhile since I watched the first few episodes but I kinda disagree. I actually enjoyed the "soft" comedy more. I think the most difficult thing for shows/writers is character development and making things dramatic without ruining character development. I can't pinpoint exactly what I think the mistake was that could have cost them viewers but there were some things I would have liked to have seen changed. Again, it's been awhile since I watched the first half of the season so I'd have to rewatch.

I just checked the ratings information for S3 to refresh my memory a little...I knew S3's ratings were worse than S1/S2 (where they were regularly at over 4 million viewers), but didn't they also move the show to compete with Big Brother or something during S3? I thought I remembered reading that somewhere. Anyway, looking just at S3's numbers, this may be what he's concerned about: ratings dipped each week from 3x2 to 3x8 ("Dia y noche"), after which they started rebounding and were back to 3+ million viewers, most weeks steadily climbing toward the finale, which had better numbers than the premiere did. es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velvet_(serie_de_televisi%C3%B3n)#Cuarta_temporada_.282016.29That may explain why he's singling out the first half of S3 for criticism. Like you, I'd have to rewatch to be sure, but all of the really comical plots that I remember (i.e., Rita/Pedro dealing with his mother; Barbara and Mateo living together) were confined to those first few episodes. Even Jonas/Patricia were initially played mostly for laughs (which was one of the reasons I didn't get on board with them at first), and I guess Cristina's faked pregnancy was also played for comedy to an extent. He may feel like the stakes were so low that viewers started tuning out. I just realized, though, that his criticism of early S3 may also be his way of telling viewers that when S4 opens it'll be more dramatic in tone.

I have tried to download... something... anything... to no avail..and have given up. So thanks. I have looked at your comets ..cauht some trailers on Atres3,some clips on YouTube and am prematurely disgusted that they have a A/A standoff in V3!!! Only thing I don't know is who he cheated with...Sara again or back to Psycho Christina. Now I'm mad as a snake..because Netflix will give us #3 in July...and I read they may make us wait a year for #4.By then I will be admitted to a sanatorium for withdrawal.

^Are the links not working for you? You don't have to download anything. I'll be more than happy to help you watch them. And yeah it sucks that AyA break up again in s3 but Alberto does NOT cheat while with Ana. That is NOT the reason for their break up though that one night with Sara did come back to bite him along with Cristina to blame for Ana finding out.

Hello all, new here. So glad there is a English language site for this great show!
I hate Carlos with passion and I really don't understand why Ana would go back with him. I know she's vulnerable, but I think she could sense that he was a leech and borderline psycho the first time around. I would rather have had them put her with Marco then Carlos, but I guess it's all set up for the eventual implosion. Carlos is just so OTT, at least with Christina you could somewhat understand why she went insane. Carlos dated Ana briefly and now he's deceiving her in such a treacherous way, it just seems very far fetched.
I love Alberto, but I really think he can be kind of a bastard. It was completely wrong what he did to Patricia. Those were her shares left from her father and because Alberto wanted to basically buy Ana a career, he robbed her of that. It just didn't sit well with me. She was doing a good job with the jewelry and it just seemed so unfair. In general, I don't like that he hasn't shown much compassion towards her when she really hasn't done anything that bad to him (excluding S1). Which again brings up Ana's career. I wish they would have not set it up that he was responsible. I would much rather her make it Independently of Alberto.
The cheating thing that contributed to the end of A/A made little sense to me. He was married to Christina and she was dating Carlos. In what way was that him cheating on Ana? I do think her telling him she was being held back was why he backed down. He also seemed very tired at that point. As for the ratings slide, Pedro's mom didn't help lol but I think change turns some people away. The group was somewhat split with Rita married and not sharing a room with Ana, Luisa gone, Ana was no longer a seamstress, so it had somewhat changing dynamics. I thought Alberto's absence was the biggest blow though. I hope he will be back in most episodes next season.

Hello!
I'm with you there on Carlos. We don't know much about him and probably never will understand why he is the way he is. We just know he's an evil guy and is obsessed with Ana. I wish everyone could see it, especially Ana.
Yeah I didn't like how Alberto treated Patricia especially at the end there. I mean, he did leave her the jewelry line though, so it's not like he left her without anything. As for him buying Ana a career, I don't really see it that way. He felt really guilty about what happened at the parade when Ana revealed herself as Phillip Ray and everyone thought she was a homewrecker, mostly due to Cristina alerting the press. Had that not happened, I'm certain Ana would've jumpstarted her career with only Alberto having given her the opportunity. Which he's done now. It's not like Ana's a terrible designer and Alberto bought out Cafiero to sell her designs. Cafiero genuinely likes her designs and sees her talent. It's all Ana, IMO. Had she not even started Phillip Ray on her own, I don't think she would have this type of success to begin with. But I do agree that Alberto can be a bit of a prick at times.
I think it was more of Ana feeling humiliated was what did it, not so much the actual cheating. If Alberto would've just told her instead of it having been Cristina, I think Ana wouldn't have reacted the way she did. Cause we all saw how guilty Alberto felt after he slept with Sara, not because of Cristina, but because he still felt as if he was cheating on Ana. I do agree with you there on the ratings. haha There were quite a few changes and Alberto's absence was definitely a huge blow for them. And I'm hoping he's in a lot of episodes next season too.

Carlos dated Ana briefly and now he's deceiving her in such a treacherous way, it just seems very far fetched. Welcome to the board! I'm so happy this community is around as well -- it's so good to be able to discuss the show! Re: Carlos, I agree with you that Ana's decision to let him hang around her feels weak. I said this in another thread, but to excuse it I'm having to make the excuse for her that she's consciously choosing to focus on the part of their relationship that happened before he went psycho, maybe even rationalizing to herself that his controlling jealousy wasn't his true nature but an out of character reaction to the fact that she was using him to get over Alberto. I'm really curious about whether or not the writers are going to follow up on that weird vibe between Marco and Ana at the end of S3 -- it seemed like he was attracted to her. A passing thing, or something that will be of more significance in S4? He absolutely can be a bastard. For as much of his mom as there is in him, there's also a ruthless streak from his father. I remember gasping when he reminded Patricia what happened to Cristina -- when I get a chance I want to gif all of that, because it really illustrates just how rock bottom he was. Very cold. I love Patricia and everything about her with the exception of the affair with Enrique (ARGH!). But I sort of like that her relationship with Alberto hasn't been the best because of the conflict it creates. My brother watched a little of the show and complained later that Alberto was the "perfect" guy. No, he's not -- he's got a ton of flaws, and one of the most glaring is the way he's allowed his hatred of Gloria to poison his relationship with Patricia to the point where he's rarely if ever given her credit for anything, even when she deserved it. When he returns in S4, I want to see that change in a big way. When you mentioned Patricia not doing anything that bad to him lately, I was ready to agree, and then I remembered that she burned the letter from their father that said Isabel was alive. I can't remember though if that's been addressed on the show -- does Alberto know she knew about Isabel before he did? I agree with VV in the post just above mine that I think the show was basically using Alberto to sort of do a reset for Ana following Cristina's sabotage (which Alberto feels responsible for). If not for that, Ana's collection likely would have been a success. That said, I always did feel a little uncomfortable with Alberto having his heart set on Ana for the Airsa designs before she even submitted the proposals -- I always felt bad for everyone else! I absolutely agree with you that Alberto sleeping with Sara was really more of a betrayal of his vows with Cristina since his relationship with Ana was over (and she had, as Alberto tried to point out when he was defending himself, just turned down the idea of being his mistress again, which he took as the all clear to find solace with Sara). But I also don't think Ana was necessarily looking at it that rationally. She took a LONG time go come to terms with the idea of Alberto sleeping with Cristina, and I think the only reason she got good with it was because she viewed it as a duty he'd resigned himself to as Cristina's husband (a role Ana asked him to play). Then, suddenly, Cristina popped up and provided her with the mental image of Alberto having a torrid affair with Sara (herself a married woman) not because he had to but because he WANTED to. So I think it tarnished Ana's view of Alberto a little bit. Yeah, I liked the way they ended up playing that break up out. Oh, I didn't care for Pedro's mom either. A little of it was fine, but then it got to be too much, especially when she was chasing Emilio around. Agreed. In my rewatch I noticed what I'd forgotten, that even Raul was impressed by Phillip Ray before he knew it was Ana. I like to call that really dark stretch (just that one episode, I think?) his Prince of Darkness period. I'm so making that a gif set too, LOL. Oh, I like this point as well...I think you're right about her humiliation and that she would have taken it better had he told her. As it was, it was just another in a long line of events where Cristina ruined things for her.

I'm very curious about that as well. Because even Carlos saw what we saw and it'd seem weird for them to just drop it.
Same here! Because tbh not everyone gets along with their siblings (speaking from experience) and so it's nice to see that conflict rather than always getting along. Also, Patricia has always felt second best and as you've mentioned Alberto has a lot of flaws and his hatred toward Gloria has clouded his judgement about Patricia and I think at times his father's favoritism of him kind of makes him feel a little bit selfish when it comes to Patricia. But I agree, when he returns I want to see their relationship change and I think that is highly possible especially after what we've seen in s3 with Patricia and Ana. I can totally see Ana being the one to vouch for Patricia to Alberto and being the one to help mend their relationship.
And I don't think he ever knew about that letter.
Yeah that's true. haha But at least he saw everyone else's designs. haha
Yes please do!
