Yeah, I don't remember following the filming pictures last season either...I think any that I saw I saw after the season had already started airing. It's still (sort of) early in the day, so more may go up on Instagram later, but for now, here's what's happening... MAS has posted two pictures of costume fittings for Velvet. A few Spanish articles have alluded to a fall start date for season four...S2 started in the fall (October), as did S3 (September). I can't remember when Antena 3 announced the airdate for S3 (VV might be able to), but I want to say it was sometime in August...? How far along are you in S3 so far? |

Well, here is hoping for a September start instead of October! Do I understand correctly that some amazingly kind members on the board will translate/sub the episodes once they air?
Just finished the episode where Ana hears on the radio that there was a plane accident...the next episode is going to be hugely emotional I can tell.
Sigh...the wait is going to be rough I am sure. The wait for season 3 was not so bad since season 2 had a happy, non-cliffhanger-ish ending. I am guessing that will not be the case this time!

VV (the board admin here) subtitled S3 as it was airing and posted the links on her tumblr, and I believe she's planning to do S4 as well! She does an amazing job and it's so great not to have to wait for Netflix. What's also really cool is that this board wasn't here for most of S3...so now during S4 there'll be a place for people to discuss the episodes after they've aired and while we wait for the next week's episode. Yeah, things do get pretty emotional after that radio announcement, though I don't want to spoil for you whether there's a cliffhanger for the finale.  You'll have to come back and post and let us know what you think about everything. |

I'm hoping for a September premiere date too. I think last year we started getting teaser trailers in August before they actually announced a date which ended up being early September. A lot of international shows seem to announce premiere dates only a week or two before the actual date. Which makes the wait a little better IMO. haha And YES, as long as I'm still able to download the episodes, I have every intention of subbing/translating all the episodes for s4 as they air in Spain. And I'm very excited that this time we will have the forum to discuss what's going on. Thanks for posting those pics! I got really excited about the ones MAS posted, but I'm pretty sure those are old photos for season 3. I think he had posted them before, but it's still exciting that he's posted them because it means he's almost back filming! |

Fabulous news, thank you both! That is incredible VV that you will do this for all of us! Wish you and this board were around sooner haha . Seriously, it is great to have this board now---I remember for a long time my wife and I would rave about Grand Hotel (and later Velvet) and there was hardly anyone who knew about them or to discuss with! Regarding MAS, do we know if he is just on a break from Sense8 filming to do some Velvet s4 shooting? Or can we assume he will hopefully be now focused entirely on Velvet until the season wraps? The seasons typically have about 13-15 eps it seems. Based on where they are at in filming s4, MAS should make his appearance say around episode 6 maybe? I am just hoping we get at least half of s4 with Alberto back on the show. |

They just kept saying "Pronto," "Pronto," "Pronto" in all of their promos. Not at all like in the U.S. I honestly think they're old pictures too, because he seemed pretty clear in that interview that he would only be filming Velvet after Sense8 wraps Chicago, which is still going on. But when I was looking for articles yesterday everyone online was running with those photos as proof he's back filming S4. Oh well...at least it's publicity! Regarding MAS, do we know if he is just on a break from Sense8 filming to do some Velvet s4 shooting? Or can we assume he will hopefully be now focused entirely on Velvet until the season wraps? I am just hoping we get at least half of s4 with Alberto back on the show. VV and I have been speculating about that for awhile now, LOL! MAS was in Madrid very briefly at the end of May for a social event, and while there he did some press and mentioned that Sense8 still has a lot of filming to do, but that he will take a break from Sense8 to film Velvet after Sense8 wraps its Chicago shoot (which is going on right now and should finish next week). He was also clear that after he films his Velvet scenes he will return to do more Sense8 filming. This is the problem: LG (Jonas) recently gave an interview where he said that Velvet will be filming until mid or late June. By that time, if VV and I worked the math out correctly, they would likely only be on episode 8 or 9. (This is based on the fact that MV/Cristina posted a picture of the Ep. 5 script in early May, and filming only began in early March.) So either the season is going to be shortened or what LG meant was that production will wrap for a summer break and then return later to finish the rest of the season. This would not be unusual...last year, Velvet was still filming S3 while S3 was airing. But it also seems like LG would have specified in the interview that it would just a break rather than the end of the season. So, basically, we don't know yet! But hopefully there'll be some word of something concrete soon...once MAS returns to set, I imagine there'll be a publicity push, and if someone is able to interview him then we should get more details.
